Your paid content got leaked, and now people are watching for free what others paid you for. You are not stuck. Five groups can help you remove it: you, the platform you sell on, Google, a lawyer, and a takedown service such as Rulta. Each one covers a different part of the problem, and only a takedown service covers all of it.
This applies whatever you make: OnlyFans or Fansly sets, Patreon tiers, online courses, paid YouTube memberships, presets, ebooks or exclusive videos.
What a leak really costs you
A leak is not only a privacy problem. It is a revenue problem.
- Lost subscribers. When your content is free on a leak site, some fans cancel and others never sign up.
- Lost sales. Every free copy of a course, ebook or video is a sale you will not make.
- Lost views on social media. Reuploads on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and X take the views, the ad money and sometimes the brand deals that should be yours.
- Fake accounts. Impersonators use your photos and username to sell fake access or scam your fans, which damages trust in the real you.
The longer a leak stays up, the more it spreads.
Who can help, and what each one can do
| Who | What they can do | Limits | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| You | Find copies and send DMCA notices yourself | Slow, and many notices share your name with the uploader | Free, but costs hours |
| The platform you sell on | Act on accounts and content on its own site | Cannot remove copies on other websites | Free |
| Remove leak pages from Search, Images and Videos | Removes the search result, not the file itself | Free | |
| A lawyer | Send formal letters and sue leakers | Expensive, and most leakers are anonymous | High |
| A takedown service | Find copies, file notices, clear Google and catch reuploads | Cannot force every site to comply | Monthly fee |
Most creators combine a few of these.
You
The DMCA lets any copyright owner ask a website to remove stolen copies. You own the copyright the moment you create your content, and you do not need to register it to send a notice. Under Section 512 of the Copyright Act, a notice needs your work, the infringing URLs, your contact details, a good-faith statement and your signature. Our DMCA takedown template and free DMCA notice generator cover every element. New to this? Start with what a DMCA takedown is.
The platform you sell on
OnlyFans, Fansly, Patreon and YouTube can act on content and accounts on their own sites. A copy on a leak forum, a file host or a Telegram channel is outside their reach.
Even when a site ignores you, Google can remove the page from its results. Most people find leaks by searching your username plus "leaked", so this cuts off most of the traffic. Deindexed is not deleted, but to the person hunting for your content, it might as well be. Read why deindexed is not deleted for the full picture.
A lawyer
A lawyer makes sense when you know who leaked your content and the losses are large. Our leaked content lawsuit series covers what is realistic. If someone hacked your account or threatens to leak more unless you pay, that is a crime: in the US, report it to the FBI through ic3.gov.
A takedown service
A takedown service does the finding, filing and follow-up for you. A single leak often lands on dozens of sites within days.
Step by step: what to do in the first hour
- Don't contact the leaker. It can push them to repost faster or demand money.
- Save the evidence. Copy every URL, take screenshots and note the date.
- Check how far it spread. A free leak scan shows where your content appears.
- Report copies on social media. Use each platform's copyright form. Our guides cover TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, X and Telegram.
- Ask Google to remove the leak pages. See our Google DMCA guide.
- Decide whether to hand it off. If you can't keep up, a service saves you hours every week.

How Rulta helps creators of every kind
Rulta is a DMCA takedown service for creators on OnlyFans, Fansly and Chaturbate, and for creators on non-adult platforms too. Our AI-powered software monitors more than 200 million websites around the clock, and trained agents search by hand on top:
- Machine learning improves detection accuracy over time, on every plan.
- OCR technology reads text and watermarks inside images, on every plan.
- Face & Body Match spots your content on leak sites and in search results by recognizing your face and body, even when your username isn’t attached. On all plans.
- AI Search lets you upload any photo and track down matching images of you on Google, TikTok, Instagram, and X, even if they’ve been cropped or edited. On Premier and Legend.
- Reverse image search matches copies of your photos across the web, on Legend.
- Recrawlers catch reuploads of content we already reported.
Once a leak is found, Rulta:
- Files every notice for you under our company details, so your legal name stays off them.
- Clears Google. Rulta is a member of Google's Trusted Copyright Removal Program and has reported more than 200 million links to Google, which you can check on Google's Transparency Report.
- Removes impersonators. Fake account removal comes with Premier and Legend.
A single Google result is usually removed within 12 to 24 hours, and overall search clearance takes 5 to 7 days. Sites that follow the DMCA usually act within 1 to 5 days, and non-compliant sites can take 1 to 2 weeks. No service can promise every copy disappears from every server, and we will tell you plainly when a site is out of reach. Agencies managing several creators can see our agency plans.
FAQ
Who can help me remove leaked paid content?
You can file DMCA notices yourself, the platform you sell on can act on its own site, Google can remove leak pages from search, and a lawyer can pursue leakers. A takedown service like Rulta handles all of the removal work for you.
Does this only work for adult content?
No. Copyright protects any original content you create, from OnlyFans videos to online courses, Patreon posts and YouTube videos.
Can I get my lost revenue back?
Removing leaks protects future sales, but it does not refund past losses. Getting money back usually means suing a known leaker, which takes time and legal fees.
How long does it take to remove leaked content?
A Google result is usually removed within 12 to 24 hours. Sites that follow the DMCA usually act within 3 to 5 days, and non-compliant sites can take 1 to 2 weeks.
Will the leaker see my real name?
If you file yourself, they might, because many platforms share notices with the uploader. Rulta files under its own company details instead.
